MAINTENANCE TEAM

PURPOSE

The Maintenance Team is responsible for the general upkeep of all church buildings.  The church must constantly be maintained to ensure that it is worthy of God’s presence and worship.

ELIGIBILITY TO JOIN

Anybody with a willing heart who is able to offer their time and commitment to the upkeep of the church.  No skills required.

MEETINGS

The team meets every Wednesday evening directly after the 18:30 mass.  After attending to maintenance duties, the Team would take time to discuss and plan future tasks.  From time to time, the team will meet during the day to perform tasks that cannot be otherwise performed. 

DUTIES

                    The duties of the team include:

  • Maintain and repair all church buildings (church, hall, religious centre, and presbytery)

  • Prepare hall for fund-raising events

  • Assist in preparing and making fires for family day and fund-raising events

  • Assist with preparing the church for Palm Sunday by cutting palms and putting up palms in church, and removal thereof.
